The Mouse Deer and The Cow

In the forest there is a large meadow, inhabited by the Cow family. They have a calf which is growing up. The calf has great curiosity. Once upon a time the calf saw a river. He asked his mother's permission to take a walk.

"Mother, I want to take a walk around the river. Can you?" asked the Calf.

"Yes, my son, but you have to be careful. Lots of crocodiles in the river. You don't trust crocodiles easily, son." his mother advised.

The Calf cheerfully went to the river to play. He was very happy to see the small fish swimming here and there in the river. Suddenly he heard a cry for help which turned out to be a crocodile. Pak Crocodile was crushed by a large fallen tree. The calf remembered his mother's advice to be careful with crocodiles.

"Help me good cow." said Mr. Crocodile.

"What is it, Mr. Crocodile? Why are you crushed by a fallen tree?" asked the Calf.

"At the time of the earthquake, I didn't realize that there was a big tree near me that had fallen. So I was crushed by a tree. Please let me go, good calf." Mr. Crocodile begged for help.

"I don't want to help you, because if you are free from that tree you will definitely eat me." Calf refuses to help Pak Crocodile.

"If you don't help me now I will surely die, so I promise I won't eat you Calf." Mr. Crocodile was pitiful.

"Okay then I'll help you." said the Calf.

The Calf then with great difficulty pushed the big tree trunk. Pak Crocodile finally released from the crush of the tree. After releasing, suddenly Mr. Crocodile's mouth bit the calf's leg. The Calf of course was shocked.

"Ouch ... What is it, Mr. Crocodile? Why did you bite me? You broke Mr. Crocodile's promise! I'm sorry I helped you." The Calf is angry.

"Shut up stupid calf. I haven't eaten in three days. Please ask other animals, they will definitely do the same thing if they are in my position." Pak Crocodile doesn't care.

It so happened that at that time a rotten mat was washed away in the river. The Calf asks his opinion after telling the mat what happened to him. But mat actually defends Pak Crocodile.

"It's your fate, O Calf, so accept it. When I was in a new condition, it was always used by humans. But now look at me being dumped in the river just like that." said the Weathered Mat.

It didn't take long for an old basket to drift away in the river. The Calf asks the same question in the old basket but the answer to the old basket is the same as the answer to the rotten mat.

Then an old duck appeared. After the Calf told the old duck about his problem, the duck again defended the crocodile. The old duck said he ran away because his employer wanted to slaughter him.

After the old duck left, Si Kancil appeared. The Calf tells the problem to the hare. Pak Crocodile is calm because he is sure that the hare must defend him. The hare said he had to know the truth. He asked Pak Crocodile & Calf to repeat the incident from the beginning. Pak Crocodile and Calf agree. Pak Crocodile releases his bite on the leg of the Calf. Then the Calf pushed back the tree trunk to Pak Crocodile's body.

"Oh so that's how it started." said the hare.

"Yes, right mouse deer." said Mr. Crocodile.

"Now it is your turn, Calf! Let go of this tree trunk." said Mr. Crocodile to the Calf.

Hearing that, the hare immediately whispered the calf to quickly escape. The Calf is very happy to know that this is just the trick of Si Kancil to help him escape from Pak Crocodile. The two of them immediately ran fast leaving Pak Crocodile who could not move and was crushed by a tree. Knowing this, Pak Crocodile was very angry.

"Hi Calf! Hi Mouse Deer! Where are you going? You insolent Mouse Deer turns out to be your trick." Pak Crocodile is very angry.

"Feel the consequences, Mr. Crocodile! You can't be trusted. Already helped but instead want to eat the Calf. Goodbye Mr. Crocodile." shouted the hare.

Tha's it, the tale of Mouse Deer which tells the story of The Mouse Deer and the Cow. The story of a crocodile biting a cow but the cow managed to escape from the crocodile thanks to the cleverness of the mouse deer.
