The following is a collection of Indonesian folklore, folktales, tales, and legends that exist among the people of South Sulawesi Province.

The province of South Sulawesi has its capital in the city of Makassar and is located in the southern part of the island of Sulawesi, bordering the Provinces of Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi

La Dana and the Buffalo
It is said that according to folklore, long ago in Tanah Toraja, South Sulawesi, there was a farmer named La Dana. La Dana is a smart and shrewd boy. Even so, the local community didn't like him that much, because La Dana often used his ingenuity to deceive others.
