The following is a collection of Indonesian folktales, folklore, fairy tales, and legends that exist among the people of Central Kalimantan Province.

The province of Central Kalimantan is capitalized in the city of Palangkaraya and has the motto Isen Mulang which means Never Give up.

The folklore of the curse of the King of Mintin Island comes from the Central Kalimantan area. It is said that long ago, there was a kingdom on Mintin Island, Kahayan Hilir area, Central Kalimantan. The kingdom was known as a prosperous & peaceful kingdom because it was led by a fair and wise king.
