Once upon a time in the village of Koto Anau, ruled a king named Raja Aniayo. The King is known for having a bad temper. The King is also famous for gambling. Let alone the people, even to his own family King Aniayo could be cruel.
Raja Aniayo has a wife named Puti Youngest. It so happened that Puti Bungsu had six siblings. But the six youngest Puti brothers have long migrated. The six siblings of Puti Bungsu had quite a successful business. Knowing that Puti Bungsu's six siblings had many treasures, Raja Aniayo tried to control their wealth. He then ordered his trusted people to poison his wife's six siblings. Of course this was not known by Puti Youngest. After the six siblings of Puti Bungsu died, all his assets were passed on to Puti Bungsu.
Since then King Aniayo often asked for wealth from his wife. He used the treasure to gamble. The treasure that he asks for is always all gone on the gambling table. Raja Aniayo kept asking for Puti Bungsu's wealth until one day Puti Bungsu's wealth had run out. "All my possessions have been used up, I have given everything to you." said Puti Youngest.
Raja Aniayo was very angry with Puti Bungsu for not being able to give property. Feeling unable to provide benefits, Raja Aniayo then ordered his soldiers to throw Puti Bungsu into the forest.
The Birth of Bujang Paman
Youngest Puti felt sad with her husband's behavior. When thrown into the forest, she was pregnant. In the middle of the forest, Puti Bungsu lives alone. He was forced to eat fruit, tubers and leaves that he got in the forest. During childbirth, she struggles alone without anyone's help. After going through suffering, Puti Bungsu finally gave birth to a son. The boy he gave the name Bujang Uncle.
The presence of Puti Bungsu and her children in the forest, invited the attention of animals in the forest. These animals often find food for the youngest daughter and her child. The forest animals become friends Uncle Bujang. They taught Bujang how to climb, choose edible fruits and tubers. After Bujang became a teenager, his mother then told them who they were and who their father was. Hearing his mother's story, Bujang Uncle stated his desire to wander to find life experiences. Bujang also said he wanted to find his father.
Meet Mande Rubiah
Bujang Paman then went out of the forest to wander until finally he arrived at a cabin. The owner of the cottage was named Mande Rubiah. Bujang then told about himself and his mother. Mande Rubiah then invited Bujang and his mother to live in his house. During his stay with Mande Rubiah, Bujang was in charge of herding cattle belonging to Mande Rubiah.
After living with Mande Rubiah for a long time, Bujang was not satisfied with his life experience. He wants to return to migrate. He then said goodbye to his mother and Mande Rubiah to go to the village. He then went abroad to look for crowded villages. He arrived in an area called Muaro Paneh. He decided to stay in the area for some time. To fulfill their daily needs, Bujang trades around from village to village.
In Muaro Paneh, Bujang Uncle met a wealthy woman named Puti Reno Ali. Puti Reno Ali admires the honesty of Bujang Uncle. He then gave his wealth to be used as capital to trade Bujang Uncle. With capital from Puti Reno Ali, Bujang Uncle then went to Solok to buy merchandise.
Meet Rajo Aniayo
Arriving at Solok, Bujang then went around looking for merchandise to sell back at Muaro Paneh. But before he had time to look for merchandise, he was intercepted by Raja Aniayo who was his own father. King Aniayo ordered his soldiers to seize all of Bujang Uncle's inherited gold coins. The soldiers of Raja Aniayo also beat Bujang until he was injured, tied his hands and then threw them into the forest. Bujang Uncle knows that King Aniayo is his father.
In the condition of hands bound and badly injured, Bujang prayed to the Almighty to give him ease. Not long after a tiger appeared approaching him. The bachelor is scared to death. Strangely, the tiger did not attack Bujang, but instead biting the straps of his hand until it was released. The tiger also licked the wounds on Bujang's body. Strange thing happened, the wounds on his body suddenly healed. Bujang also felt his body become stronger after being licked by tigers.
Bujang Uncle then returned to Muaro Paneh to meet Puti Reno Ali. Bujang tells the story of what happened to him. Puti Reno Ali believes in honesty Bujang. He even returned to provide capital in the form of gold coins to be used by Bujang to trade. After resting for a day or two, Bujang then returned to Solok untuk buy merchandise.
Upon arrival at Solok, Raja Aniayo again confronted him. Raja Aniayo was surprised why Bujang Uncle was able to return to Solok in good health. Raja Aniayo's soldiers confiscated Bujang's gold coins, beat him and then pinned his legs using wood. They threw Bujang into the middle of the forest. In a condition full of wounds, reappeared tiger who had helped him. The Tiger uses his claws to untie the ropes in Bujang's hands, chop the wood that binds his legs and licks his wounds. Bujang feels his body getting stronger after being licked by a tiger.
After feeling strong, Bujang immediately rushed home to Muaro Paneh, to the house of Puti Reno Ali. When he arrived at Puti's Reno, he was surprised because King Aniayo and his soldiers were at Puti's Reno Ali's house. Raja Aniayo was surprised to see Bujang's arrival. He was surprised how Bujang was still in good health despite having just been beaten by his soldiers. Soon King Aniayo ordered his soldiers to decapitate Bujang Uncle. His soldiers immediately captured Bujang to beheaded.
That's when Bujang said that he was the son of King Aniayo. "O my lord, how could my lord have the heart to kill me? Though servant is your own flesh and blood. " said Uncle Uncle.
"What? Don't just carelessly claim to be my child. " King Aniayo shouted angrily.
"I am the son of Puti Bungsu, your majesty's wife who has been disposed of by you in the middle of the forest. And I will not fight your majesty because your majesty is my biological father. " Bujang explained.
Raja Aniayo still did not recognize Bujang as his son even though he knew in his heart that Bujang was indeed his son. He then slammed his large sword at Bujang's body. But surprisingly, King Aniayo's sword was immediately broken when it hit the body of Bujang. Raja Aniayo then took a stick and then struck the stick against Bujang's body many times, but Bujang's body was not injured at all. Knowing this, King Aniayo became even more angry. He then took his soldier's sword and then attacked the Bujang blindly. But Bujang's body was not hurt at all.
Bujang Paman Becomes Rajo Mudo
Because Rajo Aniayo was constantly attacking him, Bujang finally counterattacked. Bujang Uncle kicked Raja Aniayo's body. Raja Aniayo bounced off of a Bujang kick until his sword came loose. It turned out that Bujang's kick was so hard that King Aniayo died instantly. The soldiers of King Aniayo were very surprised to see the death of their king. They immediately prostrated themselves before Bujang. They begged for mercy so that Bujang did not kill them. Bujang Uncle also forgives them.
The people of the nagari Koto Anau welcomed the killing of the cruel and arbitrary King Aniayo. After burying the body of King Aniayo, all the people finally agreed to appoint Bujang Uncle as their king to replace Rajo Aniayo. They gave the title to Bujang with the title Rajo Mudo.
After becoming king, Bujang also picked up his mother and Mande Rubiah to live together in the palace. Shortly afterward, Rajo Mudo married Puti Reno Ali, who had helped him a lot. Since then, the people of the nagari Koto Anau have lived in peace because they were governed by Rajo Mudo, justly wise.
