Gajah Meram Along with His Prospective Wife Lost

The wedding day of Pangeran Gajah Meram arrived with Putri Jinggai. Initially, the wedding ceremony went well.

However, suddenly there was an oddity. Pangeran Gajah Meram and Putri Jinggai suddenly disappeared somewhere. At that time the two of them were carrying out a procession of bathing together at the Aket bath on the shores of Lake Tes. No one knows where the couple has gone.

Suddenly King Bikau Bermano and the empress became worried. Fearing that something might happen to his son and future son-in-law, the King immediately sent several commander to search for them. The commanders immediately searched around the lake Tepi, but also did not find them both. Finally, the commander returned to the palace.

"Forgive us, sire. We were unable to find the crown prince and Princess Jinggai around Lake Tes. " the commander reported.

"You didn't find them?" asked the king in panic.

"That's right, Sire King! We have tried to search around the lake, but we did not find them. " answered another commander.

King Bikau Bermano then gathered all the palace dwellers. In front of all the palace dwellers, the King asked if any of them knew where the Prince of Meram and Princess Jinggai had gone.

"Do any of you know the whereabouts of my son and future son-in-law?" asked Raja Bikau Bermano.

Gajah Meram Kidnapped the Head of the Snake Seven

None of the palace dwellers answered the King's question. Everyone can only be silent. In silence, suddenly a parent of a relative of Princess Jinggai from the Kingdom of Negeri Negeri answered, "Yours sincerely, Your Majesty the King. Allow me to say something. "

"Please convey, parents!" answered the king.

"Forgive me, sire. To my knowledge, the crown prince and Princess Jinggai were abducted by the Snake King who reigned under Lake Tes. The Seven Head Snake is very powerful and also very cunning, cruel, and likes to disturb humans who are bathing in Lake Tes. " replied the old man.

"If that is true, then we must immediately save them now. We must think of a way to defeat the seven-headed snake, " said Raja Bikau Bermano.

"Please forgive me, Father. Let me go free the Meram Gajah brother and his future wife, " said Gajah Merik, the youngest son of the king.

Everyone in the palace was surprised because Prince Gajah Merik was only 13 years old. Raja Bikau Bermano certainly did not approve of his youngest son's request. He did not want to lose his other son. But Gajah Merik still insisted by saying that since he was 10 years old, almost every night he dreamed of being visited by a grandfather who taught him magic.

"Alright, my beloved son, Gajah Merik. Tomorrow you may go to the lake of Tes to free your brother. But first, you must go to asceticism at Proper Topes to obtain an heirloom. " said the king.

"Good, Father," answered Gajah Merik.

Gajah Merik Goes to Free Gajah Meram

The next day, Gajah Merik departed to Pinch Topes to meditate. The place is located between the capital of the Kingdom of Negeri Negeri with a new village. For seven days and seven nights, Gajah Merik was imprisoned with full concentration, not eating and drinking. After carrying out his asceticism, Gajah Merik finally succeeded in obtaining an heirloom weapon in the form of a dagger and a shawl. The keris heirloom is able to make its way in the water so it can be passed without having to dive. While the magic shawl can be transformed into a sword.

Furthermore, Gajah Merik returned to the palace with his two weapons. When he arrived at Telang Macang village, he saw a number of royal warriors guarding the Kutei Rukam Kingdom border area with the kingdom of Suka Negeri. Because it did not want to be seen by the soldiers, Gajah Merik immediately plunged into the Air Ketahun River to Lake Tes while holding the dagger. Gajah Merik was surprised because he was not touched at all by the river water.

Gajah Merik intended to return to the palace first, but when passing Lake Tes, he changed his mind to immediately look for the Snake King. Merik elephants then dive to the bottom of the lake. Not long after, he managed to find a hiding place for the king of the Snake. Gajah Merik saw a gate in front of the mouth of a large cave. When he was about to enter the mouth of the cave, he was suddenly confronted by two large snakes.

Gajah Merik Fight Against the Seven-Headed Snakes

"Hi, man! Who are you? How dare you come in here! " a snake shouted.

"My name is Merik Elephant. I want to free my brother, Gajah Meram. " answered Gajah Merik.

"You can't come in!" intercept the snake.

Gajah Merik, of course, keeps breaking in. As a result, there was a fierce fight between Gajah Merik with the two snakes. After a while they fought, the two snakes were finally defeated by the Elephant Merik.

Furthermore, Gajah Merik continued down the cave passage until he went inside. Every time he passed the door, he was always blocked by two large snakes. However, Gajah Merik always wins the battle. When he was about to pass through the seventh door, suddenly Gajah Merik heard the snake laughing out loud.

"Hey, ugly Snake King. Come outface me if you dare! I am Gajah Merik, son of King Bikau Bermano of the Kutei Rukam Kingdom. Let go of my brother and his future wife, or I destroy this palace! " exclaimed Gajah Merik.

Feeling challenged, the Snake King hissed. His hiss let out the smoke. A few moments later, the puff of smoke was transformed into a giant snake. The Snake King said that he was willing to free the Meram Elephant on condition that the Merik Elephant be able to revive the escort snakes he killed and the Merik Elephant must also be able to defeat the Sakti Snake King.

With the supernatural power obtained from his grandfather in his dream, Gajah Merik immediately wiped one by one the eyes of the snakes he had killed while reciting a mantra. In an instant, the snakes came back to life.

The Snake King was surprised to see the magical power of the little boy. "Now fight me. Show your magic, if you dare! " answered the Head of Seven Snakes.

Without thinking, Snake King immediately wagged his tail at the Merik Elephant. Gajah Merik who was ready immediately dodged with his agility, to avoid the flapping of the Snake King's tail. A fierce battle ensued. Both of them took turns attacking by issuing their powerful moves. Fighting between humans and animals was balanced.

Gajah Merik Successfully Defeated the Seven-Headed Snake

It's been five days and five nights, but no one has been defeated yet. Upon entering the sixth day, the Snake King began to tire. He was almost exhausted. The opportunity was not wasted by Gajah Merik. He continued to attack until finally the powerful Snake King was pressed. At the right moment, Gajah Merik immediately thrust his shawl that had been transformed into a sword into the stomach of the Snake King.

"Ouch ... sick!" Snake King screamed in pain.

Seeing the Snake King was helpless, Gajah Merik took a few steps back in case the king of the snake suddenly attacked him again. "You are indeed great, little boy! I admit defeat, "said the Snake King. Hearing the acknowledgment of the King of Snake Sakti, Gajah Merik immediately released his brother and Putri Jinggai who were locked up in a room.

While in the palace, King Bikau Bermano felt. It's been two weeks since Gajah Merik has not returned from his hermitage. Therefore, the King ordered several commanders to follow the Merik Elephants on the Topes. However, the commander had not yet left for the proper Topes hermitage, suddenly one of the commanders assigned to guard the bathing place on the shores of Lake Tes came in haste, preaching that the Merik Elephant, Meram Elephant, and Putri Jinggai had returned safely.

"Forgive me, sir! We who were on guard on the lake were also surprised, suddenly Gajah Merik appeared from inside the lake with Gajah Meram and Putri Jinggai. Apparently, after meditating for seven days and seven nights, Gajah Merik went straight to the palace of the King of Snakes and succeeded in freeing the Meram Elephant and Putri Jinggai. " the commander explained.

Before long, Gajah Merik, Gajah Meram, and Putri Jinggai arrived at the palace escorted by several hulubalang guards Lake Tes. Their arrival was welcomed by the King and the whole palace family. News of the return of the Meram Elephant and the might of Gajah Merik spread throughout the country. Next, the King had a party for seven days and seven nights.

Gajah Merik was Appointed as the King of the Kutei Rukam Kingdom

After that, the King gave up the royal throne to the Meram Elephant. However, Gajah Meram refused to accept the throne of the Kutei Rukam Kingdom. He instead encouraged the King to give up the royal throne to the Merik Elephant. After being pressed, finally, Gajah Merik is willing to accept the throne of the kingdom of Kutei Rukam on condition that he may appoint the Snake King along with his followers who he has conquered as head of the kingdom of Kutei Rukam. The request of Gajah Merik was granted by the King. Finally, the King of Snakes he had conquered was appointed the head of the Kutei Rukam Kingdom.
