The Cat's Magical Object

According to folklore, once upon a time, in East Java, there lived a family known as a patient family, Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar. Their lives are very poor. Because they are poor they often don't eat for a day or two because they don't have money to buy food. However, they do not complain and remain patient in life.
The Cat's Magical Object

One day, Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar discussed to borrow money from his brother named Mrs. Mellas. "Ma'am, try to borrow money from Mrs. Mellas. We haven't eaten in two days. " Pak Sabar said to his wife.

"All right, sir, I'm going to Mrs. Mellas's house to borrow money." said Mrs. Patiently. He then went to Mrs. Mellas's house.

Upon arrival at Mrs. Mellas' house, Mrs. Sabar immediately expressed her request to borrow money from Mrs. Mellas. "Mrs. Mellas, like this, we haven't eaten in two days. Please lend us one hundred or two hundred rupiah to buy food. "

"Oh okay. There are only one hundred rupiah. " said Mrs. Mellas.

"Thank you, Mrs. Mellas for your help." Mrs. Patiently thanked Mrs. Mellas and then she left.

Mrs. Sabar Buying a Dog

Mrs. Sabar then returned to her house. Along the way, he met a person who was dragging a dog. Mrs. Patience felt sorry for the dog. "What's with the dog? Why are you dragging? " Mrs. Sabar asked the person.

"This dog is my pet but I want to throw it away. It works can only eat it. Can't keep the house. " answered the person.

"Ouch, don't throw away the pity. Let me just buy one hundred rupiah? " said Mrs. Patiently.

The person agreed to sell his dog to Mrs. Sabar for one hundred rupiah. Mrs. Sabar then brought the dog home to his house.

"Where is the loan from Mrs. Mellas Dik? Whose dog did you bring? " asked her husband.

"I bought a dog from Mellas for one hundred rupiah." Poor this dog wants to be thrown away by the owner so I just buy it. " Mrs. Patience.

"Never mind, that's fine. Just put the dog under the breach. " Pak Sabar is not angry even though they have no money. The dog is then placed under the breach. It just barks, is not given food and drink.

Mrs. Sabar Buying a Cat

"Ma'am, borrow more money from Mrs. Mellas to buy food. We have to eat. " said Mr. Patience.

Mrs. Sabar then went back to Mrs. Mellas's house to borrow money. Mrs. Mellas then lent me one hundred rupiah. Back, on the way home, Mrs. Patiently saw someone who was dragging a cat. "What do you want the cat to drag? Poor you. " asked Mrs. Patiently.

"Oh, this cat I will throw away because I often steal fish." said the person.

Feeling sorry, Mrs. Sabar then offered to buy the cat. "Never mind, rather than you throwing pity, I just bought the cat for one hundred rupiah?" The person agreed to sell the cat for one hundred rupiah. Then Mrs. Sabar returned home without bringing money but by bringing the cat.

Upon arrival at the house, Mrs. Sabar told her husband that a loan of one hundred rupiah from Mrs. Mellas had been spent to buy a cat. "Earlier on the road I felt sorry to see a cat about to be abandoned by its owner. So I just bought it with a loan from Mrs. Mellas. "

"Yes, it is okay." her husband answered patiently.

The Cat's Magic Object

At night, Mrs. Sabar woke her husband to take her to urinate. When he came out of his porch, Mrs. Sabar saw a strange object round and shining. "Sir, what is that round thing shining." Mrs. Sabar said to her husband.

"Oh that might be Gumalana Kucing (cat's magical object). Let's try the magic. " said her husband. They then arranged the glowing round object with incense. Then they begged for money and gold. Wonderful! Out a lot of money and gold. Both of them felt immeasurably happy. With the money and gold they can buy a lot of food.

An idea arose that another similar object was made. So each of Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar can use the magic object. So they went to the goldsmith Akhmad. After negotiating, they finally agreed that the goldsmith Akhmad would make a replica of that magical object at a cost of fifty thousand rupiah with a one-week work time. The original cat's magical object was given to goldsmith Akhmad as an example. Pak Sabar and Mrs. Sabar go home.

One week later, Mrs. Sabar came to the goldsmith Akhmad to retrieve the imitation cat's magical item along with the original. After getting the two magical objects, Mrs. Sabar immediately went home and gave it to Mr. Sabar. They both then tried the two magical objects by asking for money and gold. But nothing happened. Both of them became confused. Apparently the original magical object of the cat is kept by goldsmith Akhmad and dreplace it with an imitation.

The Cat and The Dog going to the Goldsmith's House

Cats peering through the door. The Cat felt sorry for her employer who was tricked by the goldsmith Akhmad. The cat then invites the dog to retrieve his magical object at the goldsmith's home Akhmad. Arriving at the house of goldsmith Akhmad, a mouse appeared. The cat immediately catches mice and threatens them to eat them. The rat begged for mercy and promised to help him retrieve his magical object. The rat then invites his friends to make a hole in the chest owned by goldsmith Akhmad. After having a big hole, the dog barks loudly to lure goldsmith Akhmad out. The goldsmith Akhmad was angry and went out to drive the dog away. That's when the cat quickly took his magical object.

On the way home, the dog dropped his magical cat into the river and then he ran away. The cat is angry with the dog's behavior but he can't do anything. Finally the cat can only wait under the leaves. Suddenly a curve passed. Cats catch curves and threaten them to eat them. Turned and begged for mercy on the cat and promised that he would help the cat. So he ordered the turn to take a round glittering object at the bottom of the river. Without difficulty, the winding managed to take the cat's magical object from the bottom of the river then hand it over to the cat. Cats, of course, feel very happy and immediately go home to their employers.

Upon arriving at the house of his employer, the cat immediately surrendered the magical object to Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar who was at the porch. They were both very happy because the magical object had been found. Since then Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar's lives have never been short of money. Cats are very dear to Mr. Sabar and Mrs. Sabar, whereas dogs never return to their employer's home.
