Once upon a time, the crown prince of the kingdom of Jenggala, Raden Inu Kertapati, was engaged to Dewi Candra Kirana, the daughter of the kingdom of Kediri. There are two beautiful daughters from Kediri kingdom, namely Dewi Candra Kirana and Dewi Ajeng. But Inu Kertapati really loved Dewi Candra Kirana.
One day, Inu Kertapati felt very homesick with his fiance Dewi Candra Kirana. He decided to visit the kingdom of Kediri. He then departed accompanied by his escort troops to the kingdom of Kediri.
Raden Inu Kertapati Looking for Dewi Candra Kirana
After half the trip, suddenly they were confronted by a gang of criminals led by Panji Semirang from Asmarantaka. Inu Kertapati asked his troop to stand guard against the attack because he had long heard the news about the Panji Semirang gang crime. But strangely, the leader of Panji Semirang did not attack instead he sent two guards to meet Inu Kertapati.
"Greetings to Raden Inu Kertapati. We were both told by our leader, Panji Semirang. He asked Raden to meet him. We have absolutely no evil intentions." said Panji Semirang's bodyguard.
"I heard that you are a gang of criminals. But well, I am willing to meet your leader, but in one condition that you do not attack us," said Inu Kertapati.
They immediately went to the residence of Panji Semirang. How shocked Raden Inu Kertapati was, he was very well welcomed by Panji Semirang. Raden Inu Kertapati felt like he recognized Panji Semirang's face but forgot where was he see him.
"The news circulating in the community is not true, Raden. We are just trying to get people to live in our country, Asmarantaka, but never force." Panji said Semirang explained.
"Then I am asking permission to continue my journey to the kingdom of Jenggala to meet my fiance," said Raden Inu Kertapati.
"Oh, that's how it meant Raden's trip. As far as I know, there are two beautiful women of the royal princess of Jenggala, namely Dewi Candra Kirana and Dewi Ajeng. Who is Raden's fiance?" asked Panji Semirang.
"My fiance is Dewi Candra Kirana," answered Raden Inu Kertapati while asking permission to continue the trip.
The group of Raden Inu Kertapati continued their trip to the Kingdom of Kediri. Soon they arrived. They received a rousing welcome from the Kingdom of Kediri. Dewi Liku and her daughter Dewi Ajeng also welcomed. Raden Inu Kertapati then asked where is Dewi Candra Kirana.
"Mother, where is Goddess Candra Kirana?" Raden asked the concubine of the King Kediri.
"Oh ... Dewi Candra Kirana has long suffered from memory problems. She has now gone somewhere to leave the kingdom of Kediri." said Dewi Liku, the concubine of the King Kediri.
Shocked, Inu Kertapati was shocked to faint. Apparently, Dewi Liku has bad intentions. By using magic power, it affects the mind of King Kediri and also the thoughts of Raden Inu Kertapati. She urged the king of Kediri to marry Raden Inu Kertapati with his daughter, Dewi Ajeng.
Finally, not long after, a wedding party was held between Raden Inu Kertapati and Dewi Ajeng in the Kediri kingdom. But it seems that the King's concubine's evil intentions were not blessed by the Almighty. Shortly before the wedding was held, a large fire broke out in the palace. To avoid the fire, Raden Inu Kertapati's bodyguards asked him to leave the Kediri royal palace. They immediately left the palace.
After being away from the palace, the influence of Dewi Liku's magic on Raden Inu Kertapati was lost. Raden Inu Kertapati finally realized the evil intention of Dewi Liku. At that moment he remembered Panji Semirang. Raden Inu realized that Panji Semirang's face resembled that of Dewi Candra Kirana. He immediately invited his bodyguards to Asmarantaka country to look for Panji Semirang. But when they arrived there, the surrounding community said that Panji Semirang had gone somewhere. Raden Inu Kertapati's heart was smashed to pieces.
"Oh Dewi ... my love ... where are you?" Raden said Inu Kertapati was very sad.
Unable to find Panji Semirang, Raden Inu Kertapati continued his journey home to the kingdom of Jenggala. On the way home, when entering the kingdom of Gagelang, which was a royal ally of Jenggala, Inu Kertapati was asked to stop by King Gagelang. Raden was willing to stop by.
"Thank you, Raden, for wanting to stop at the Gagelang kingdom. Incidentally, our kingdom is facing interference from the leaders of Lasan & Setegal. They are both very powerful man." said Gagelang king.
"In that case, I and the guards will help your majesty to eradicate them." said Raden.
With the supernatural powers of Inu Kertapati, the criminals led by Lasan & Setegal were successfully destroyed. Even Inu Kertapati faced directly the two criminal leaders, namely Lasan & Setegal. Both were successfully disabled.
The King of Gagelang and all the people were very happy with the success of Raden in eradicating the criminals. To celebrate the victory, a party of seven days and seven nights is held. On the seventh night, the king of Gagelang invited a graceful young poet. The Poet brought the story of Dewi Candra Kirana and Inu Kertapati's love story.
Inu Kertapati was very curious, why did the poet know his love story. And surprisingly, the poet's face resembled Dewi Candra Kirana. After Raden urged the poet about her identity, the poet finally admitted that she was Dewi Candra Kirana. Dewi said that the concubine of King Kediri, namely Dewi Liku, had bewitched her into memory loss. But he was helped by a powerful ascetic to recover. After recovering Dewi Candra Kirana traveled from one country to another.
Short story, Inu Kertapati and Dewi Candra Kirana immediately said goodbye to the king of Gagelang to go to the kingdom of Jenggala. The kingdom of Jenggala immediately held their marriage together with a very festive party. Finally, Inu Kertapati and Dewi Candra Kirana officially became a couple.
