In ancient times, when Jakarta was still called Batavia and was still colonized by the Dutch, there was a robbery at Babah Yong's house. Babah Yong is a descendant of the very rich Chinese ethnic group in the Kemayoran area. The robbery incident caused an uproar for the people of Kemayoran. This incident was finally handled by the authorities.
A village head and Dutch leader at the time, Mr. Ruys, investigated a robbery case at Babah Yong's house. Mr. Ruys, who holds a grudge against a young man named Asni, immediately assumes that Asni is the mastermind behind the robbery. Asni is a valiant young man, he is a Kemayoran young man who is brave against the Dutch. His firm attitude was regarded as defiance to the Dutch. According to Asni, the Dutch were the colonizers who had to leave their area. So, Asni did not hesitate to not be respectful towards the Dutch who were in his village.
"I already know who the culprit is, the culprit is Asni. Catch Asni right now!” Mr. Ruys orders.
"Yes, Mr. Ruys," replied the village head.
Asni is captured by Mr. Ruys
Instantly, Asni was arrested at his home. Asni had rebelled and denied that he was not the mastermind of the robbery.
“I am not a robber at Babah Yong's house. That night I was just at home!” replied Asni firmly.
“We'd better take you to the office to see Mr. Ruys. Come on, quickly !" said the Dutch police officer, pointing a gun and handcuffing Asni's hands.
Finally, Asni followed their orders to meet Mr. Ruys in his office. Asni also knew that Mr. Ruys did not like his presence in Kemayoran.
After arriving at Mr. Ruys's office, Asni was pointed at with various questions, so that Asni had to admit what he had done. However, Asni still denies the accusations. He continued to say that he was at home and that many witnesses had seen him at home. This statement angered Mr. Ruys and ordered the officer to put Asni in prison. Moreover, when Asni had time to argue in a loud voice while hitting Mr. Ruys' table. Mr. Ruys was furious with Asni's attitude.
Asni's resistance is not alone. Apparently, outside the office, many people in Kemayoran denied Mr. Ruys' accusations. They shouted to free the young man named Asni.

Seeing the incident, Mr. Ruys came out of his office. "What are you guys doing?" asked Mr. Ruys.

Asni goes to Marunda Village
“I have to find out who did the robbery. Maybe it's not a villager here," Asni muttered.
The next day, Asni intends to go to Marunda Village. He walked to his neighbor's village to find information about the perpetrators of the robbery at Babah Yong's house. Marunda village is a neighboring village of Kemayoran.
