The Story of Bujang Awang Tabuang

Once upon a time in Bengkulu Province, there was a kingdom called the Heat Peremban. The Hot Kingdom Kingdom is led by Raja Kramo Kratu Agung. The Empress was named Princess Rimas Bangesu. The King rules fairly wisely. The people of the Hot Peremban Kingdom really respect and love their king.

But the happiness of King Kramo Kratu Agung was a little disturbed, because after having been married for six years with Empress Princess Rimas Bangesu, they had not yet been blessed with a child. The King is worried, who will continue the throne of his kingdom later. The royal relatives then discussed to discuss this matter. After they had a discussion, the outcome of the discussion by the royal relatives surprised Princess Rimas Bangesu. They decided that the King must marry another woman. Whereas Putri Rimas Bangesu must be exiled to the middle of the jungle.

The Birth of Bujang Awang Tabuang

Not long after, Putri Rimas Bangesu was exiled to the middle of the forest. He was accompanied by a tiger and a pair of monkeys. The kingdom made a hut in the middle of the jungle as a place of seclusion of the Empress. Actually when exiled, the Empress was pregnant, only King Kramo Kratu Agung did not know. After so long living in exile, was born from the womb of the Empress, a handsome boy healthy again. The empress gave him the name Bujang Awang Tabuang.

Under the care of his mother, accompanied by a tiger and a pair of monkeys, Bujang Awang Tabuang grew into a handsome, handsome, tough and powerful young man. Time continued to roll until Bujang Awang Tabuang reached the age of seventeen. His mother always lied to him, every time Bujang asked about his father. His mother will say that Bujang's father is a God.

But now Bujang has become a young adult. The Empress felt it was time for the Bujang to know who his biological father was. Princess Rimas Bangesu finally said that King Kramo Kratu Agung was his biological father. He also told the incident that happened to him exiled from the palace.

Knowing this, Bujang asked his mother's permission to go to the royal palace of the Heat cell to find his father. Although feeling heavy hearted, but Princess Rimas Bangesu still allows. "Be careful, man. As much as possible avoid fighting or fighting on your journey later. I will continue to pray for you. " said the mother.

Bujang Departs to the Palace in Search of His Father

The next day Bujang Awang Tabuang left for the palace of the Hot Peremban Panas. From the jungle he walked alone for days. Every time he met the residents, he would ask where the palace of the Hot Peremban Palace was headed. Finally Bujang arrived at the palace of the Hot-tempered Kingdom.

Upon arrival at the palace gate, Bujang immediately just walked into the palace. His behavior made the palace guards try to stop him. "I want to see Raja Kramo Kratu Agung." said Bujang to the palace gatekeepers.

"You can't as good as your stomach enter the palace just like that. His Royal Highness the Great King Kramo Kratu cannot be disturbed. He wants to marry the Silver Hair Princess of the Kingdom of Pinang Rarely. " said the guards.

But Bujang still forced in so that made the guards forced to expel him. Not accept expelled, Bujang against the guards. As a result there was a fight between them. Bujang Awang Tabuang seemed too tough for the palace gatekeepers. When other soldiers came to gang up on Bujang, Bujang easily defeated them all. The soldiers finally ran away from Bujang. Some of the soldiers immediately reported it to the Royal Patih.

Feeling exhausted after a long journey, Bujang then slept under the palace square tree. The snoring sound was so loud that it made the royal palace tremble like an earthquake. Vibration like an earthquake, makes the whole palace in an uproar.

Raden Tumenggung, Patih Kingdom of the Hot Peremban Panas immediately came out looking for the culprit of the chaos. He found Bujang Awang Tabuang sleeping snoring under the tree square in the palace. "Hai, wake up! Don't make a mess in the Royal palace. What do you mean make a mess! " Raden Tumenggung shouted harshly.

Bujang woke up, then he walked into the palace looking for King Kramo Kratu Agung. He did not care about Raden Tumenggung at all. Seeing his insolent attitude, Raden Tumenggung without further ado directly attacked Bujang. Terjget into a fight between the two. Again Bujang showed his strength in fighting. In a short time he was able to defeat Raden Tumenggung.

Bujang Awang Tabuang then entered the palace. In the palace he raged to destroy everything in front of him. Palace warriors were made in disarray unable to deal with it. King Kramo Kratu Agung finally intervened directly to face the young troublemaker. Both of them fought fiercely for one day and one night. Both do not know that they are both father and son. Since there was no sign of who would win and who would lose, Raja Kramo Kratu Agung finally asked Bujang to stop the fight.

"Never mind, young man. It seems like our battle will never be finished. Who are you to make a mess in the palace? I am King Kramo Kratu Agung. Tell me what you need? " said the king.

The Bachelor Finally Met His Father

Bujang was surprised that apparently his fighting opponent was the father he was looking for. "Sorry, sire king. I am Bujang Awang Tabuang, son of Princess Rimas Bangesu. When my mother was exiled to the jungle, she was actually carrying a Servant. " said Bujang.

"So you are my child, young man?" said the king.

"Right, father. Now my mother is still in the forest. " said Bujang.

Raja Kramo Kratu Agung immediately embraced his son. He apologized for alienating and wasting his mother. Raja claimed not to know that Princess Rimas Bangesu when exiled was pregnant. The King then canceled his marriage to the Princess of Silver Hair.

Princess Rimas Bangesu Returns to the Palace

The next day, the King together with Bujang Awang Tabuang and the soldiers went to the jungle where Princess Rimas exile exiled to pick him up. Then King Karmo Kratu Agung met his wife Putri Rimas Bangesu again. Both of them embraced while crying. The King then brought his wife back to the Royal Palace of the Hot Peremban, riding a beautiful carriage.

Finally Bujang Awang Tabuang lived happily with his parents in the palace of the Peremban Panas Kingdom. Despite living in the palace, Bujang Awang Tabuang did not forget the tigers and monkeys who had accompanied him since childhood. Bachelors often visit them in the forest. He used to chat with them like when he was little.

Folklore from Bengkulu, Bujang Awang Tabuang, tells of a handsome young man with a powerful mandraguna. He is the son of King Kramo Kratu Agung and his queen Princess Rimas Bangesu. Considered unable to produce offspring, Putri Rimas Bangesu was exiled to the forest by her own husband on the advice of a royal advisor.
